Main features of the Contacts section

The Contacts section is the information about all the users that you have in your Sanity Desk system. This database is synchronized with the contacts in the Marketing workspace. However, there you can only see the activity and interactions of a user on your website.

In the Support workspace, you can add comments to each contact, attach tickets, call or even email them. To sum up, the Contacts section is a tool, with the help of which you can manage your users.

To start managing your contacts, follow these steps:

Click on the Contacts section in the navigation bar.
Once you’ve done that, you will see a window with your contacts and such tools:
Export all pages
Export current page
Import contacts
New contact

How to add a new contact

This option is available only in the Support workspace. In the SanityDesk Marketing workspace, you can only view the contact or make changes to it but you can’t create it. To create a new contact, you’ll need to follow such steps:

Click on the Contacts section in the navigation bar.
In the new window, click on the New contact button in the upper right corner.

If you want to create a workspace you need to open id.sanitydesk.com on your computer and follow the next steps:

In the right upper corner click the button Create a workspace.

You will see the next window:

Here you need to create the name of your workspace (it can be the name of your business or just your first and last name, as nobody can see it, only you).
Also create a subdomain name (no worries, you will have a chance to change it later). Click the Continue button.
Chose the plan for your workspace (in your case you need to choose a FREE one, the box with it will become green). Click Continue button.

You need to fill in the form with your billing details (it asks only your company name and some additional questions, no need to leave your card details here). Click Proceed.

Now you have access to your own workspace (Marketing and Support areas)

How to manage contacts on your website?

Contacts

The **Contacts **section contains all the users that have ever registered on your website. You can easily import data with the help of the Import **contacts **button on the top of the main page of the **Contact **section. Also, you can export the needed data in the form of all pages or the current one by clicking on the Export all pages or Export current page buttons.

If you’d like to know all the details of the particular user, it’s enough for you to click on their email, after which a new window appears. Here, you can check all the user’s activity.

The window consists of two main parts. On the left side, there is a table with the general info about the user: the name, email, phone, company, etc. Below the table, there is another one with the address information: country, city, address, etc.

On the right side of the window there are three sections that provide you with the details of the user’s activities within the system:
